Family Promises Vows


Following are vow choices used in weddings, commitment ceremonies or vow renewals for couples with children or anyone else that you want to be a part of the ceremony.
You may choose one from this list, or create your own.

Do you wish to recognize and include (Child) as an important part of this marriage?

(Step-parent) do you take (child) to be the child of your heart, to love and to hug, through triumphs and growing pains as long as you shall all be together?

(Child) do you take (Step-parent) to be your Step(mom/dad), your friend, to love and respect as long as you shall all be together?

(Parent) do you promise to encourage their special bonds with one another,
to give them room to breathe, and to love them through it all?

(If a gift is being given, ask step-parent if they have a token to present)
